OUR HISTORY...

The idea for JUST STAND TOGETHER AND REACH (JSTAR Enterprise) was developed over a number of years by Andre Noreiga, a qualified Senior Care Manager experienced in Residential Care establishments dealing with individuals with Learning Disabilities, Challenging Behaviour and Mental Health and, since the company's formation in March 2010, Managing Director of JSTAR Enterprise Ltd.

Growing up in North London in an environment where he experienced the stark reality of violence and crime, Andre was very aware of the pressure on young people to conform to the mores of peer groups, particularly the prevalent gang culture, and not develop their own potential as individuals.

Andre felt strongly that, given the opportunity to express their own goals, aspirations and dreams in a positive and supported manner, the lives of many young people could change dramatically for the better.

In 2007 a fortuitous chance meeting with a number of like-minded and equally experienced healthcare professionals from similarly challenging personal backgrounds sparked Andre's vision into reality.

As a group they decided to develop a strategy to review and address the problems affecting young people and then to pilot their approach using the many contacts they had made through their work in different boroughs of London and Essex.
